[IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING]
Jennifer Lopez speaks on maximizing her firepower for her role in 2023’s The Mother in this archival soundbite
[My character] wasn't supposed to be just a sniper; she's supposed to be one of the best snipers ever. It was really about being familiar and comfortable with the gun. I was doing this crazy sniper training... [but] we were very careful. I wouldn't say I could snipe somebody but I got pretty good at it. My thing was like, how fast could I rack? Learning how to do it and watching the [trainer], I wanted to do it as good as he's doing it.
Doing all the training for the gun and the fighting was so much fun for me. I had to really learn those fights. I released a video of me training because I forgot. I'm an athletic person, a dancer. So I looked at it like choreography. I felt really strong and kind of empowered, like, I'm here. I will kick your ass. [Laughs]
