Denzel Washington brings August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Fences, to the big screen. The film chronicles the life of Troy Maxson, a working-class African-American father struggling with a fatigued marriage to Rose, a strained relationship with his son and the crippling weight of past disappointments. Ultimately, Fences is a story about how our environment shapes us, and how we pass on our pain to future generations.
